Finland: 14 days / Finland has not adopted any time limits

France: 7 arbejdsdage / working days 2 years

Germany: 14 days / 2 years

Greece: 10 working days / 2 years for mobile property, 5 years for immobile property

Hungary: 8 working days / 2 years

Iceland: 14 days / 2 years and up to 5 years on long-lasting goods

Ireland: 7 working days / No limitation period

Italy: 10 working days / 2 years

Latvia: 14 days / 2 years

Lithuania: 7 working days / No limitation period

Luxembourg: 7 working days / 2 years

Malta: 15 working days / 2 years

The Netherlands: 7 working days / No time limit

Norway: 14 days / 2 years and up to 5 years on long-lasting goods

Poland: 10 days / 2 years

Portugal: 14 days / 2 years if the consumer notifies the seller in the time limit of two months from the acknowledgement of the defect. In case of used goods 1 year if this is clearly stated in the contract and accepted by the consumer.

Slovakia: 7 working days / No limitation period

Spain: 7 working days / 3 years

Sweden: 14 days / 3 years for goods purchased after 1. April 2005 (2 years for goods purchased before)

United Kingdom: 7 working days / 6 years (5 years in Scotland)
